I Almost Took the Blame for a Pregnancy That Wasn’t My Fault!

Episode 1

So, this wild incident happened when I was in SS2 or maybe SS3—I can’t really remember exactly.

My mum had traveled on a long trip, which meant... freedom! I had this squad of friends who usually came over to chill after school, still in their uniforms, before even going home.

It was already a routine, and everything seemed cool. That Friday, however, things took a turn.

On this fateful Friday, a couple of girls came over with us after school, and things were still chill. We were just hanging out, eating, playing games, nothing unusual—at least not at first. 

But one of the guys and a girl decided they needed some alone time and snuck off to a corner around my compound.

I wasn’t paying too much attention to them, honestly. I thought they were just gisting. But apparently, they were out there kissing and doing some touching—not too deep, but still.

Meanwhile, the rest of us were indoors having a good time, completely unaware of the "extra-curricular activities" happening just a few feet away.

The day went by, and everything seemed fine—no drama, no issues. We all parted ways like any other day.

Fast forward to Saturday morning. I was chilling when my aunty sent one of her daughters to come and call me to her house.

Her house is super close to mine, so I didn’t think much of it. I strolled over, expecting a usual small talk or errand, you know, nothing serious. 

When I got to her room, she asked me to close the door. Now, that should’ve been a red flag. Closing the door meant serious gist, but I was still clueless. Little did I know, I was about to be deep in trouble.

She started with the casual, "So, what did you do yesterday after school?" 

I confidently told her, "Nothing, I just slept." 

She just nodded and said "okay" before handing me her phone and asking me to watch a video. 

Omo, I pressed play, and lo and behold, I saw my friends—specifically the girl and the guy—kissing in that same corner beside my house!

I paused the video, my heart racing, and immediately started apologizing, telling her I had no idea it happened. But then she hit me with the real bombshell.

She rewound the video and showed me the exact moment I peeped around the corner and saw them! My face was clearly on camera! 

At that point, I knew I had been caught red-handed, and there was no more hiding.

I was confused, panicked, and stuck. My aunty gave me two options: either I stop my friends from coming over to my house entirely, or she was going to take the video straight to our principal on Monday. 

Omo, I didn’t even think twice. I picked the first option so fast you’d think I was racing Usain Bolt. On Monday, I told my friends about what happened, and you can already imagine their reactions!

Till today, I’m still trying to figure out how she got that video in the first place. Turns out, my nosy neighbor was the one who recorded everything.

Apparently, her window was right next to the corner where my friend and the girl were caught. 

And guess what? She and my aunty were besties. So, naturally, she sent the video straight to my aunty, knowing she’d handle it since my mum was out of town.

From that day on, I couldn’t look at my neighbor the same way. I low-key disliked her for snitching, but in hindsight, maybe she saved me from worse trouble. 

I mean, imagine if something serious had gone down—like a pregnancy. No be me give am belle, but it would’ve happened in my house. I’d have been in deep wahala for something I didn’t even do. LOL!
